Through professionalism, dedication, training and integrity, the Turners Falls Fire Department works to preserve, protect lives and property, and enhance the quality of life for the people of the Turners Falls Fire District. This will be accomplished by providing a vast range of emergency services, strong public relations and fire safety education. We also endeavor to protect and preserve the health of our membership and return our personnel safely to their families.

Massachusetts Open Burning Season January 15th - May 1st

Turners Falls Fire District residents (Turners Falls, Millers Falls, and Montague City) wishing to burn brush MUST obtain an open burning permit from the Turners Falls Fire Department at 180 Turnpike Road, Turners Falls.

The permit fee is $10 (cash or check made out to "Turners Falls Fire Department") and is good for the entirety of the 2024 burning season.
